Somewhere between version 1.07 and the WP2.7, there was a patch made which was then incorporated into later versions. 1.016 is pretty much stable and does work for 3.x. The Pro version was discontinued a while ago. The cost of producing, managing and maintaining the plugin simply didn't work out... I just about managed to cover my costs on the project.
